Warehouse Expansion Project in Skopje, Macedonia

I took this trip first on June 2023, it did took a couple days to get there from America, but once there; the main purpose of the visit was to support a Warehouse Expansion Project for the Raw Material in Skopje's Manufacturing plant, I was particularly sent to asses part of the technical hardware & software needed on the ERP used (SAP) to perform the activities that would result from the expansion and new capabilities implemented in the system, during my second time a couple months after and not before we were sure of the changes; we performed UAT together with the people & key users in the plant, we took several days to make sure both the users & key-users in the plant were really confident on using the new perks in the system.

Some of this changes involved a change from IM to WM on SAP, also the use of a new way to track the raw material from the point of entrance to the plant/warehouse up to the point of usage in the production floor, this was done by a legacy system that would connect to SAP via RESTful interface via HTTP, Scanners and printers were bought and properly configured to use on the new system.

One of the best things of long business travels is that you can use the weekends to visit the best places on the city and its surroundings, on one of these weekends I also visited Ohrid, which is a city in North Macedonia and is the seat of the Ohrid Municipality. It is the largest city on Lake Ohrid and the eighth-largest city in the country, with the municipality recording a population of over 42,000 inhabitants as of 2002. Ohrid is known for once having 365 churches, one for each day of the year, and has been referred to as the "Jerusalem of the Balkans". The city is rich in picturesque houses and monuments, and tourism is predominant. It is located southwest of Skopje, west of Resen and Bitola.

Made many friends also during this trip, Skopje is definitely a city I would like to go back, and will always cherish... and if you happen to vistir Skopje, I would recommend you a nice restaurante on the city center, Distrikt Bar & Kitchen, located at the reception level of the Marriot Hotel, you won't be dissapointed!.
